Fitz and the Tantrums

So, fun fact... this was actually my first concert. I was 18, thi was 2023. Super late to the concert game, frankly.

I was on a trip to Seattle with a friend, and we wanted to go to SOME event while we were up there. I saw that Fitz and the Tantrums would be in the area, and I'd heard a couple songs by them that I liked, so we went with that.

First concert... wow.

I don't remember a lot now, but there are a few things.

For one, there were drunk, tall men in front of us for a lot of it. The venue was part bar-we don't even know if they were actually there for Fitz, or just wanted to fuck around and drink.

The lead singer mentioned that he didn't get any notoriaty until he was in his 30s. One song blew up, and then they were well-known. He was essentially trying to say not to give up-sometimes fame takes a while. Not really a message I needed, but one I appreciated anyway.

I got merch, of course. Now, since I was trying to cut down on clothes, I have the main tour logo/name and location as a patch on a jacket.

All in all, it was... fine. We had a decent time. I wish I got onto going to concerts earlier, but that's what happens when you live in the middle of goddamn nowhere.

They did play the song I knew, Out Of My League, of course. So we were happen with that. I'd go back to that band if I wanted something more pop-y, but still niche.
